Dear friends of the Noble Odyssey Foundation,
This letter is both a celebration and an appeal.
First, we are celebrating the launch of our new website nobleodyssey.org. Most of the content will be familiar to our followers, but it’s more streamlined and accessible now. For instance, in the MENU (upper right) under OUTREACH, all of our documentary films are now listed and are available free online. Please explore the rest of our site as well.
We also continue to celebrate over 40 years of our educational, research and exploration programs on the Great Lakes. Over the years we have:
And here’s the appeal: All of this enterprise costs money -- for the ships, for fuel, equipment, food, maintenance, dockage, and more. The selfless support of our volunteer staff, parents and friends can carry us only so far. To keep it going, and especially to grow, we also need and depend on donations from people who care about the Great Lakes and believe in our seagoing mission.
Getting back to the new website, we’ve made it easier than ever to support us with memberships and donations. Here’s the menu page that explains everything. nobleodyssey.org/donate.html.
On behalf of the Foundation, the Sea Cadets, their families, and all others who benefit from our work, I extend my heartfelt thanks for your support.

We also continue to celebrate over 40 years of our educational, research and exploration programs on the Great Lakes. Over the years we have:
- Cruised our vessels over 100,000 miles throughout the Great Lakes;
- Trained hundreds of young Sea Cadets as research scuba divers;
- Performed underwater investigations in collaboration with agencies and institutions.
- Produced numerous documentary films, scientific publications and project reports;
- Participated in many community events and open houses at harbor towns;
And here’s the appeal: All of this enterprise costs money -- for the ships, for fuel, equipment, food, maintenance, dockage, and more.
